Some of you may have noticed that Mrs. DTG has been very quiet on the blog. This was for good reason. For the past few weeks, she has been studying like crazy as the academic phase of her Doctor of Physical Therapy program entered its final stretch. I am happy to announce that she aced her comprehensive final exam yesterday.
After a year and a half of coursework, which included a 7-week clinical rotation on the other side of the state away from family, she finally has some time off to relax. Later this month, she’ll begin a 1-year internship before graduating and heading off to her next assignment.
If this wasn’t impressive enough, she was the only mother in her class! While her peers, many coming straight from undergrad, got to decompress after school each day, Mrs. DTG came home to three crazy kids and me. That’s quite a handful, to say the least.
Mrs. DTG, you did awesome and I am so proud of you! Now, you can finally unwind and enjoy our family vacation next week. You have my permission (not that you need it) to sleep for an entire day. You’ve earned it. I love you!
